Welcome to the web pages of the Cocoa Amateur Radio Society.  We are not your typical amateur radio club! Our mission as an ARRL-affiliated club is to provide emergency communications services in Brevard County, Florida to support governmental entities and the American Red Cross as required via the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. CARS primarily supplies operators to the ARES EOC coordinating Brevard Amateur Radio emergency operations in the event of an ARES activation. We also supply operators and technical staff to operate the EBS-1 communications vehicle described elsewhere on this site in the event the vehicle is deployed. Additionally, our club promotes all aspects of Amateur Radio Communications and stands ready to serve the community at any time that we may be of assistance with our unique service portfolio. CARS is registered with the State of Florida as a Not-For-Profit corporation.

We hope that you will find productive information browing through this site. Please note that the site is a work in progress, we are updating the content as fast as possible. Business meetings of CARS are held on the first Monday of each and every month at 1150 West King Street, Cocoa, Florida, at 7:00 PM.

Any comments on these pages or our club should be sent to Archie Shetler (club President) or via US mail to C.A.R.S. at 1150 West King Street, Cocoa, Fl 32927.

All Cocoa Amateur Radio Society members look forward to serving the citizens of Brevard County and constructively advancing the Amateur Radio hobby in cooperation with their fellow Amateur Radio community members.   Thank you for the opportunity to serve and give back to our community.
